GET COZY

GET COZY

With temperatures dropping into the teens in NYC this week, and an arctic blast set to hit most of the nation by mid-January, winter has arrived. And while it was bound to happen sooner or later, it's still always a shock to the system, so we thought we'd help out with a list of things that are cozy. That's right, just a whole bunch of stuff that promises to keep you warm, even on the coldest of days.

The Arizona Shearling Birkenstock, $145 and The Boston Clog, $165
Both of these classic Birkenstock styles are lined in shearling which makes them perfect for any kind of weather. We use ours as cozy house slippers, but they are just as well suited to outdoor use.

I have been obsessed with Barefoot Dreams blankets for years,  but it wasn't until recently that I discovered their clothing and accessories. The Bamboo Chic Lite Calypso Wrap ($92) is the most perfect sweater ever. Thanks to the bamboo in the fabric, it's cool to the touch, yet warm and cozy (read: it won't make you sweat) and wraps you in  a little bit of heaven. Pick up a CozyChic Beanie ($37), too. It keeps you warm, looks cute and doesn't give you any head itch. either.

I love an infinity scarf for keeping warm, not getting stuck in zippers and just looking cool. The Multi Dexter Infinity ($287) is 100% cashmere, super plush and just edgy enough. You'll wear it all winter long.

Winter boots are a necessary evil. But these Shearling-Line Garnet Ankle Boots ($545) make trekking through the snow a lot more fashionable. They look an awful lot like some other high design counterparts at half the price, and will keep your feet warm and cozy in any kind of weather.

Speaking of infinity scarves, how about this Rabbit Fur Infinity Scarf ($237) for the coziest thing on the planet? Yes, it's pricey, but it's rabbit fur and it's double paneled and so rich and spectacular you will never want to take it off.

I got the Lindy Cashmere Sweater ($479) early in the season and haven't taken off yet. It's the perfect shade of gray with a hint of purple, just boxy enough to be slouchy and cool, and has shearling sleeves.

There's a chill in the air and this Faux Fur Blanket from West Elm ($59)  just might the coziest thing on the planet. Equally at home on the couch or in the bedroom, it adds the perfect amount of luxe texture.

Late last year Athleta introduced a line by Derek Lam, and I am sort of obsessed with everything, but mostly the Village Cashmere T Neck Sweater ($125.99) which is soft and warm, has cool-looking sleeves and is as comfortable to wear to yoga class as it is to wear out to dinner.
