NEW ON THE CATWALK: brand new bag

My latest obsession is vintage designer bags. Enter Love That Bag, a Canadian-based company offering a highly curated collection of designer bags. All are gently used and are in near perfect condition, which just means they are nicely broken in for you. Everyone from Chanel to YSL and Celine is well represented and their selection is sort of spectacular. And the best part? The US Dollar is pretty strong in Canada, so your savings just got even better. You're welcome.

i can see clearly now

GETTING OLDER SUCKS. AND WHILE I KNOW THAT ISN'T THE BEST ATTITUDE (IT'S BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE, MY MOTHER ALWAYS REMINDS ME), IT'S STILL TRUE. THINGS START TO GO SOUTH, MOST DRAMATICALLY (FOR ME, ANYWAY), MY EYESIGHT. ALL OF A SUDDEN, I CAN'T READ THE FINE PRINT, OR ANY PRINT REALLY, WTHOUT THE HELP OF, YES, READING GLASSES. THIS IS A RELATIVELY NEW AILMENT, BUT I HAVE SPENT A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME LOOKING FOR DECENT READING GLASSES THAT FEEL LESS GRANDMA AND MORE HOT LIBRARIAN. these, by see concept ($49-$59) are by far the most sylish i have ever seen. Made in paris, they come in a million colors and options (sunglasses, too!), and some have a cool rubberized frame that make them super comfortable to wear.

MY ADIDAS

The Superstar Up Metal Toe Cap ($131) has just enough of a wedge to make it "dressy" and the rose gold metal toe makes it kick ass.

I love the combo of black snakeskin and copper stripes on these Superstars ($84.99)

The all black version ($126) of the Up, and this one is just as badass if not moreso.

Talk about jazzy - the Superstar 80s Gold Metallic ($112) are about as bling as any shoe should be.

The Superstar in SIlver Metallic ($98) jazzes up any outfit and makes for very happy feet.

Stan Smiths ($78). But a high-top version. It's like someone heard my prayers and answered them.

The Originals Superstar 80s Rose Gold Metal Toe Cap ($126) is the same sneaker as the Up minus the high-top and wedge.

The All Copper Stan Smiths ($84.99) are my faves of all of these. I know - it's hard to choose, but there it is.

Because these J. Crew Crackled Metallic Moccasins ($55) are cozy. And they're gold.

The Lyndon Cowl Scarf  ($65) is one of our favorite winter finds. It looks like real fur, is soft as hell and casts you in a beautiful glow.

Who doesn't love the classic Bottega Veneta basketweave tote bags and wallets? And who doesn't hate the price? Enter these perfectly perfect rubberized bags that I have lovingly named The Fauxtega. They come in dozens of colors (including a reversible option), are incredibly affordable ($60-150) and make a great beach tote as well. I'm a little unclear as to where they really come from, but if you email Stacie, she will get them to you. The mystique is part of the appeal.

FOR MEN

FOR MEN

Walk in James Bond’s shoes. Literally. These Danner Mountain Light II boots ($350) are the EXACT ones Daniel Craig sported in Spectre.

I am always in search of the perfect work bag, and I think I found it in this leather studded tote ($395). It's lightweight (REALLY lightweight), chic and holds everything. Plus it comes in a nice array of colors.

Rain boots. I don't even know what to say except that they SUCK. And it's not just that they suck because wearing them means it's raining. They suck because it's almost impossible to look stylish on top while donning galoshes on the bottom. Unless you have these. I stumbled upon them on my never-ending search through Zappos, and I literally did a victory dance. They're by Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole (random), cost $140, are super comfortable and they DO NOT LOOK LIKE RAIN BOOTS. You're welcome.

I wish I could wear heels every day. I see women running down the street in their red-bottomed stilettos and I am so envious as I trek through the city in my hightops and motorcycle boots. And then I found these sandals by Loeffler Randall ($425). They come in black, red and cheetah (shown above, and my personal fave), have a 3.5" heel and are somehow so flexible and cushioned that I ALMOST don't feel like I'm wearing heels.

I still don't love heels, and these aren't the most comfortable I've ever worn, but they aren't the worst either, and there's something about these Club Monaco Lula pumps ($269) that I just really love. They make me feel like a grown up but are sexy at the same time. I wear mine with a pencil skirt and a silk blouse and suddenly, I'm in charge.
